Summer Enrichment Program(Classes 1 to 5)

Patanjali Rishikul witnesses adventurous expedition- Summer Enrichment Program In the sweltering heat of May, Pantanjali Rishikul witnessed a fun-filled and exciting 6 days long summer enrichment program from 10th - 17th May, 2025. Students of classes 1 to 5 immersed themselves in plethora of enriching activities which were designed to engage their cognitive, social and psychomotor skills. The program was thoughtfully curated to engage and entertain the students to effectively bring out their creativity and nurture their holistic development. The program offered a wide range of activity which enabled them to explore, unleash and embrace their area of interest. Students of classes 1 and 2 delved into the development of various skills essential during the foundational stage, including fine motor skills achieved through pottery, in which they learned the basics of creating magic out of mud. In crafting conversations, the students were immersed in honing their conversational skills wherein they learned the nuances of speaking refined English, initiating and holding a conversation. They also learned the various forms of painting like foil painting, marbling and blot painting, which refined their artistic skills. In the second session they engaged in hands-on-activity like clay modelling, puppetry, mask making, tie and dye and gourmet, which stimulated the prefrontal cortex of their brain and polished their hand-eye coordination. Students of classes 3 to 5 had their own set of activities, specifically designed to satiate their inquisitiveness and open to them a world of endless possibilities. The children were introduced to new concepts of science through experiments, thereby reinforcing the concept of learning by doing. In creative cachet, the students unleased their creativity and explored the world of traditional art forms like Lippan, Kalamkari and Pattachitra. In digital design, the students dived into the world of video editing, creating website and story designing, thereby getting a first-hand experience of the technical skills. The students donned chef hats in flameless cooking and learnt to create new delicacies sans fire to become adept in this important life skill. Students of classes 1-5 enhanced their flexibility and fostered self-expression through Zumba. These sessions aimed to boost their confidence, physical fitness and self-esteem. The story telling sessions sparked curiosity, expanded imaginations and improved the listening skills of the students and opened a world of wonders to them. Principal, Shri Nityanand Singh, highlighted the importance of cultivating creativity, nurturing and developing social skills through various activities of the summer enrichment program. With the continuous support of our Director, Mrs. Rekha Baid, the summer enrichment program accomplished its goal of fostering soft skills in the students. Vice President, Dr. Krishna Gupta praised the efforts of the teachers in creatively engaging and stimulating the students and developing their practical skills.
